Dustin Whiteaker
Owner
Dustin’s hard work ethic and desire to become an entrepreneur stems from summers spent as a kid working on his grandfather’s yard in Berlin, MA.
In 2005, while working full-time as a Clinton firefighter, he started his own landscaping business on the side. Then, he started dabbling in the dumpster business, and in 2007, he purchased his first dumpster truck. He sold the landscape company in 2012 in order to focus on the dumpster business, and by 2018, Pleasant View Waste was successful, secure, and growing steadily.
Dustin started Pleasant View Potties at the beginning of 2021 when he saw the need to provide clients with the top notch service that Pleasant View is known for and be the reliable and trustworthy porta potty company in Central Mass that people deserve.
Dustin’s daily duties are to make sure both companies are running smoothly, continue to grow each of them, and to refine their systems efficiently.
He loves being able to give back to the community, and having the ability to help when someone is in need is the greatest feeling of being a business owner.
Dustin believes that local businesses are the heartbeat of America. People in a community supporting local businesses is what allows local businesses to give back to the community. It’s what Americans are all about, helping and supporting one another.
Shauna Sorensen
Customer Service
Shauna is most well known as the voice behind the phone when a customer calls Pleasant View Waste and Pleasant View Potties. Her duties include making and answering phone calls, posting to social media, brainstorming new ideas to help Pleasant View grow, billing, and scheduling. She has been with Pleasant View since 2021 and works closely with all of the customers, making sure their experience is more than excellent!
Shauna graduated from Clinton High School in 2019 and has always been active in the Clinton community, from helping coach youth soccer and cheerleading to putting together class fundraisers. Once a Clinton Gael, always a Clinton Gael!
One of Shauna’s favorite parts of the job is being able to help out the local communities for all sorts of different events. Day to day, she gets the chance to communicate with so many Pleasant View customers and provide them with an incredible service. Being a part of such an amazing local small business has completely changed her mindset as to just how much hard work and dedication it takes to run a business, and Shauna is overjoyed to get to be a part of such a great team.
Working for Pleasant View and Dustin has been such an unbelievable opportunity for her, so much so that the positive atmosphere makes coming to work easy and fun. She cannot imagine the growth Pleasant View will be facing in the years to come, but is glad to be a part of the ride.
When she is not in the office, Shauna enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and pets the most. She is always looking to expand her knowledge, so usually you can find her relaxing with a book. She loves trying new places but mostly new restaurants! Most of the time you see her she will have a plate of food nearby (Some may say she’s a food aficionado!).
