Meet the Owner: Dustin Dustin is the heart of Pleasant View Waste Removal. His dedication to his customers shines through in every interaction. He believes being a local business means being a true partner to the community. Dustin leads by example, whether he is calling clients to check on a dumpster rental or arriving on-site to tackle a stubborn septic cap.
Going the Extra Mile: The “Poop Cake” Story Dustin and the team love bringing joy to the community. Recently, a local family reached out looking for a toy “poop truck” for their three-year-old son. We did not have toy trucks, so we brought real live trucks directly to their house for the birthday boy to explore! To top it off, we brought a chocolate cake decorated with a giant poop emoji and toy trucks. It is moments like these that define who we are. We are a dedicated team that goes above and beyond to make our neighbors smile.
Meet Chris – Roll-Off Truck Operator
Chris earned a bachelor’s degree in Engineering and worked in manufacturing for 20 years before making a career change to achieve a better work-life balance. He lives with his wife and their two children. he enjoys racing and is an accomplished bowler, having rolled five perfect 300 games. Above all, he loves supporting his kids in all of their activities and spending quality time with his family.
Meet Ryan – Roll-Off Truck Operator
Ryan has been obsessed with anything with four wheels and an engine for as long as he can remember. Ryan says, “There’s just something about big trucks and heavy equipment that I’ve always loved.” One of his favorite parts of the job is driving through town and hearing all the little kids yell, “Honk the horn!” You can bet they’re getting a honk every time.
Meet Jeremy – Potty Service Technician
Jeremy enjoys spending as much time as possible with his family, especially his nieces and nephew. Whether he’s traveling New England, and occasionally the country, to cheer on his nephew’s flag football team, attending his nieces’ softball and hockey games, or joining them for a game of Minecraft or Roblox, family is at the center of his life. Outside of work, Jeremy enjoys exploring new hiking trails and kayaking destinations, and he never misses an opportunity to spoil his 17-year-old cat, Butters.
Meet Tyler – Potty Service Technician
Outside of work, Tyler is a loving father and spouse. When he’s not working, you’ll most likely find him spending time with his son, Colt, making memories and enjoying time together. Family is incredibly important to Tyler, and it’s a big part of what keeps him motivated to work hard every day.
And if there’s one thing Tyler absolutely loves, it’s Christmas! 🎄 We’re pretty sure he’d celebrate it all year long if he could!
Meet Luis – Roll-Off Truck Operator & Septic Service Technician
Luis is hardworking, dependable, and always willing to get his hands dirty. With experience in the trucking, construction, and transportation industries, he takes pride in showing up, working hard, and being someone his team and customers can count on.
When he’s not on the job, Luis enjoys spending time with family and friends, riding motorcycles, and stunt riding. Whether he’s behind the wheel, on the job site, or on two wheels, Luis is always pushing himself to improve and giving it his all! At the end of the day, Luis is just a hardworking guy who believes in earning what he has, staying true to himself, and always finding a way to keep moving forward.
Meet Mike – Potty Delivery & Removal Technician
Mike spent 34 years serving as a firefighter, including the last 10 years of his career as Fire Chief, before retiring in March of 2024. His career in public safety began while he was working full-time as a civilian supporting the United States Army Reserve at Fort Devens. As a Logistics Analyst with Eagle Group International, Mike helped support Reserve units and components throughout New England, ensuring they were properly trained, equipped, and mission-ready.
During Operation Enduring Freedom, Mike remotely supported the deployment of the 323rd Maintenance Company to Iraq, helping establish their operations and get their mission underway. The unit successfully completed an 18-month deployment and returned home with no casualties. Shortly afterward, Mike transitioned into working for the fire department full-time, where he continued his career of service and leadership.
Outside of work, Mike is an avid weightlifter who enjoys bodybuilding, NASCAR racing, going to the movies, and comedy. He also loves spending time at the beach, taking cruises, and being out on the open water.
Most importantly, Mike is happily involved with a special lady in his life, Angela, and together they share their home with their two cats, Luna and Dusty.
Meet Frankie & Rupert – Security
Don’t let their little legs fool you—Frankie and Rupert take their office security very seriously! These mini dachshunds are all bark when it comes to greeting visitors, but the moment treats come out, they’re your new best friends.
Rupert is the social butterfly of the duo. He’ll happily roll onto his back for belly rubs and soak up all the attention he can get. Frankie is a little more reserved at first, but once you’ve earned his trust, he’s the sweetest little lovebug you’ll ever meet.
Whether they’re supervising the office, greeting customers, or making sure everyone stays on schedule (according to them), Frankie and Rupert are proud members of #TeamRed and definitely keep the workplace entertaining!
Meet Alexis – Administrative Assistant
Alexis joined Pleasant View in April 2025, coming to us from the restaurant industry and taking on a whole new career! She quickly became an important part of the Pleasant View team and we’re so happy to have her.
When she’s not at work, you’ll usually find her at the dirt bike track supporting her boyfriend, out golfing, or covered in mud with her coworker and friend Ciera! These two recently got hooked on mud runs and are having an absolute blast.
Meet Ciera – Office Manager
If you’ve called Pleasant View, there’s a pretty good chance Ciera has answered the phone with a smile (yes, you can hear it through the phone!)
When she’s off the clock, Ciera is always up for an adventure. In the winter she’s hitting the slopes, in the summer she’s on the golf course, and year-round she’s hunting for the best local food spots, exploring breweries, hiking with her dad, or seeing what treasures she can find while thrifting. If the weather isn’t cooperating, you’ll probably find her dominating a board game, binge-watching a new TV series, or playing video games.
At home, Ciera lives with her fiancé and their two miniature dachshunds, Rupert and Frankie. Fair warning: if you ask about them, be prepared to see more pictures than you probably planned on!
One thing you should know about Ciera? She has zero tolerance for people who are rude to restaurant servers. Kindness is free, and she believes everyone deserves it.
Meet Dustin — Owner & CEO
Dustin Whiteaker is the owner and CEO of Pleasant View Waste Removal, Inc., a locally owned and operated waste services company providing dumpster rentals, portable sanitation, and septic services throughout Central Massachusetts and the surrounding communities.
For Dustin, Pleasant View Waste has always been about more than trucks, dumpsters, and portable toilets. It’s about building a company people can depend on – one that answers the phone, does what it says it will do, takes care of its customers, and continually looks for ways to raise the standard in an industry that often gets overlooked.
Dustin takes a hands-on approach to the business. He remains closely involved in its day-to-day operations, from equipment and employees to customer service, safety, technology, and future growth. He believes that doing things the right way matters, even when it isn’t the easiest or cheapest way to do them.
That philosophy has helped Pleasant View Waste grow while maintaining the feel and accountability of a local, family-oriented company. Dustin is especially proud of the team behind Pleasant View and believes the company’s success comes from surrounding himself with hardworking people who care about their customers, their equipment, and the reputation of the company.
Outside of Pleasant View Waste, Dustin has spent more than two decades in the fire service. That experience has helped shape his approach to leadership, accountability, teamwork, and service to the community. He remains passionate about supporting local organizations, first responders, community events, and the towns Pleasant View serves.
Whether it’s adding another truck to the fleet, improving a company procedure, adopting new technology, or finding a better way to serve a customer, Dustin’s approach is simple: Keep improving. Take care of your people. Take care of your customers. And leave things better than you found them.
